Chester County Paranormal Research Society was founded in 2005 by Mark Sarro. Entering the research field with years of paranormal experience and an understanding of scientific method, he sought to organize a group who shares his passion and dedication to helping those in need of assistance through collecting evidence in attempt to validate and prove the existence of paranormal activity that will positively contribute to field of paranormal research

Mark is responsible for the Tech requirements of the group. Reason for creating the CCPRS team: Mark has had a life-long interest in the paranormal and created the group to investigate and document this activity in a way that will positively contribute to this field of study as a whole. His experience on the technical side of things allows him to develop and implement the protocols and procedures for using the gear in the field with the team. Gerard J. Medvec Investigator, Consultant, Author Ghosts have been “regulars” in his life for over forty-years. He participated in the “Gateway Voyager” program, an experiential study in altered-states, at the Monroe Institute in Faber, VA. His first out-of-body event happened at ten years-old, quite by accident. Since then his studies of OBEs have allowed him to “leave his body” on several occasions at will. His practices in meditation and altered-states have led to his development of the “Breath of Life” program, a life-changing exercise that keeps unwanted spiritual and physical energy out of one’s “realm of influence.” He studied communications at Delaware County Community College in PA, and with the Newspaper Institute of American in NY. He has published over sixty non-fiction articles and four short-stories. Currently, he is co-author with Mark Sarro on two upcoming books: Ghosts of Delaware and UFOs over Pennsylvania, both for Schiffer Publishing. Kyle Heller Investigator/Consultant/Author Like most people in this field, I have had an interest in things that are not of the “normal” perception. Things that someone might say “it must be my imagination”, but is it? I too have had experiences since a young age. However, I did not know that they were out of the ordinary at the time. As I grew older, I did realize that others were not as perceptive and it was not in fact, something that was noticed or felt by everyone. Needless to say, it was not discussed openly out of risk of ridicule. I am so happy that society has finally opened it’s eyes enough to see just a glimpse of what we have known for years…Welcome!! I do know this… Everyone in our society of friends and colleagues in this field know what they have experienced is real. Once you know this, you stop worrying what people think, you know what you have experienced for years was not your imagination, you know you’re not crazy, and you will never be able to stop your search for the answers. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Below are two of the senior members of CCPRS as it existed as it's own paranormal research group. Carol Starr I have had a lifelong interest in the paranormal. My first encounter was seeing a full body apparition in my aunt’s farmhouse at age 7. From that point on, I have had a curiosity in what happens after death. When I was 14, my father passed away and both of my sisters reported seeing and or sensing him at different times. I lived in a haunted house with my mother and sisters when I was a teenager. At that time I sought out information on how to communicate with my unseen roommates. My school project even reflected my interest. I befriended a local funeral director and learned everything about what he did and then obtained a shipping coffin from him and stored it in my basement to work on for a school project. As I got older, my interest took a back seat to my career until I met with Mark Sarro and the Chester County Paranormal Research Society (CCPRS). Now I have been living my dream, going to historic places, investigating the paranormal, and using all the latest and greatest ghost research techniques and equipment. I am also the author of “Haunted Gettysburg”, which came out last summer and includes many of my personal experiences from Gettysburg along with history and real investigations our paranormal group had there.
