CCPRS Investigative Protocols

 

Here are some basic guidelines that we follow during an investigation or research study.


1. Absolutely no smoking or drinking is to take place during an investigation or study.


2. No drinking or drugs are allowed before, during or after an investigation.


3. The confidentiality of all parties involved in a research study or investigation will not be breached under any circumstances. Any published findings will be made only after written consent has been given by those involved.


4. No more than six people will be on any given investigation at a time and investigators will be broken up into teams of two during an investigation. (Varies by Investigation)


5. We take great care to respect the property at the locations of an investigation or study and take full responsibility for our actions during such time.


6. In the case of an investigation of a private home, only the immediate family or residence of a location are allowed to observe during such time.


7. All evidence collected during an investigation or research study is the sole property of CCPRS.


8. All equipment will be checked and verified before leaving to conduct an investigation or study.


9. All waivers and release forms will be signed and collected before conducting an investigation or research study.


10. Interviews of witnesses will be conducted by the team leader during the preliminary investigation and such interviews will be recorded for later study and review.


11. No perfumes, colognes or scented deodorants are to be worn by investigators during an investigation or study.


12. CCPRS will not trespass on private property and will not conduct an investigation on a private property without written consent by the owners or current residence.


13. All EVP recordings are done with external microphones and will remain unaltered in order to maintain the authenticity of any phenomena that may be recorded.


14. All video and photographic evidence will be clearly documented as to the time and conditions of when they are collected. Any abnormalities or other phenomena will be corroborated by other equipment and recording devices.


15. Long hair will be kept back under a hat or in a pony tail. Camera straps will be tied back or removed from any cameras.


16. Photographs and video will not be taken during inclement weather or other situations that will cause the integrity of the evidence to be compromised in any way.( I.E. heavy dust in a room, rain, fog, snow, thunderstorms etc, pictures from a moving object)


17. A team leader will be present at every investigation or study and will be responsible for the actions of the team. Any team member who acts inappropriately will be removed from the study or investigation and will be suspended until the incident has been reviewed by the team leader.


18. Any team member who violates any of the set protocols during an investigation or study will be removed from the study or investigation and will be suspended from all activities involving CCPRS.


19. Proper ID will be carried by all members of CCPRS during an investigation or study.


All guidelines and procedures are subject to revisions and additions,
 and will be adjusted accordingly.
