Preliminary Report: 4/22/06
Private Residence
West Chester, PA.
Equipment used: EVP digital recorder with external mic, ELF, EMF,
Digital Camera,
Investigators Present: Kim, Cindy, Carol Starr.
Investigators Training: Ruth, Isaac and Michelle.
1) Master Bedroom:
Room was mapped out and took baseline temperature readings. Temperature
in room rose 2 degrees within ½ hr.. ELF and EMF meters also used.
No readings occurred at the floor, but about 1 foot off the ground to
about 3 feet high, EMF readings of 3 to 4. Digital photos were taken
with Cindy's camera. Room felt a little stuffy and/or heavy to me. I did
not feel uncomfortable or scared.
2) Next the 3 investigators moved out into the hallway. Mapped out the
hallway, and temperature readings were taken. We got an EMF meter
reading between 4 and 5 at the closet door closest to the bedroom door.
Digital photos taken of the hallway. Cold spot was felt at the railing.
Temperature dropped from 74 degrees to 70 degrees in about 5 minutes.
Thermometer was laid on the floor up against the railing.
3) The middle office was next. It was mapped out, and temperature
readings taken. Room stayed at a constant temperature of 76 degrees.
Digital pictures were taken. Many electrical devices and power cords,
equipment, speakers. EMF readings where pegged at 5. Center of room was
quiet.
4) The Back Office was mapped out. This room has a really COLD feeling
to it. This room also feels lighter and brighter to me. Electrical
equipment present, I.E.: computers, keyboard.
Even though this room feels colder, no significant temperature change.
5) Bathroom: Mapped out and readings taken by Carol and Cindy. I had
wandered back into the bedroom while they were in the bathroom. I know,
I'm not supposed to go alone, and Carol told me she had me in her sites.
I used my EMF meter from the hallway and back into the bedroom.
Readings between 3 and 4. Higher reading of 5 in the bedroom corner near
the closet, then it seemed to move over to above the bed area. Readings
dissipated above 3 ½ feet above the floor. I felt like someone was there
with me in the bedroom, and they were moving around. I did not feel
scared or frightened. I asked if someone was there and if they could
move something, make a noise, or some kind of contact. I did not hear or
see anything except for the EMF readings. They stayed high between 4 and
5.
EVP readings done room by room:
1) Bedroom: 10 minutes of silence. Digital Recorder w/external
microphone was used. There was a lot of noise coming from below us in
the living room. I placed a cover over the vent in the floor to try and
reduce the downstairs noise. After 10 minutes of silence, Carol asked
questions while being recorded. EMF meters at this time seemed to be
going in synch from around the room. We had 3 different meters in 3
different areas of the bedroom. Digital Pictures where taken. Room
temperature dropped 1 degree during this time.
2) Middle office: 10 minutes of silence. Questions asked by Kim. EMF
meter was very quiet in this room, unless it was placed in close
proximity to electrical equipment. Digital pictures were taken.
3) Back Office: 10 minutes of silence. EMF meters were going crazy the
whole time. They seemed to be in synch with each other. This room feels
colder. Temperature of 3 degrees in 11 minutes. Conversation could be
heard out in the hallway, and the dog pushed open the door.
I heard a woman's voice in this room. It was only 1 or 2 words, said in
a whisper. I could not understand what was being said. Digital pictures
were taken in this room. When the questions where asked in this room,
all 3 EMF meters were in synch, between 3 and 4, sometimes spiking to 5
but then dropping back to 3 to 4. The meters where in separate parts of
the room.
4) Hallway: Carol outside of the back office with an EMF meter. Cindy
sitting on small landing by the full length mirror, using a digital
recorder with external mic. I was in front of the bedroom door using the
new equipment given to me by Michelle. We had 10 minutes of silence,
then questions where asked. You could hear voices from conversations
coming from downstairs.
Temperature feels colder over at the railing. The EMF meter I had was
quiet, at floor level.
Carol had a constant meter reading of 3 on her EMF outside of the back
office door.
Summary:
Meter readings where consistent about 1 foot above the floor, but Never
higher than 3 to 3 ½ feet above the floor, in the bedroom.
The closet door in the hallway registered between 3 and 4 on the EMF
meter, but these readings were closer to the floor than in the bedroom.
The middle office seemed the most quiet room, and it was peaceful there.
The back office had consistent EMF meter readings between 3 and 4. The
meters all seemed in synch with each other, as if they were answering
the questions. They would spike, then go back to a continuous rhythm.
Questions asked were:
Are you a Man? Can you give us a sign of your presence?
Are you a Woman? Are you a Priest?
What year is it? Do you want us to leave?

5/12/06 Friday Night Investigation at Private
Residence, West Chester, Pa.
Equipment Used: ELF, EMF, HI8 Sony Video Camera, Gauss Meter, Geiger
Counter.
Strobe Light, Canon Digital Camera/Video, Olympus Digital Camera,
Digital Thermometer, Laptop, TV, Sony Digital Video Camera, Digital
Recording device w/external microphone. (Recording device w/earphones).
Carol was getting high EMF readings on the floor of the living room. Kat
and myself went
downstairs to the cellar to determine if the readings were electrical in
nature. Using an EMF
meter and Olympus camera, Kat took pictures while I took EMF readings of
the cellar
ceiling. We discovered about 3 or 4 electrical "boxes" where the wires
run into and out of.
Those pegged the EMF meter. They are right below where Carol was getting
her earlier readings. Kat took pictures mostly of the "crawl space" part
of the cellar, that is under
the kitchen. Kat and I left a digital thermometer in the cellar, per
Marks request. We also received high EMF meter readings at the
fluorescent lights located on the ceiling.
Kat and I returned upstairs, while Carol and Mark went up to the second
floor.
Kat and I began to investigate the living room. We recd high EMF and
Gauss meter readings surrounding the TV and audio equipment. Remember,
the TV, video and laptop open to the website (white noise) we all
running at the time of our investigation. We determined the equipment
running was
causing the high readings. We moved into the next room off the
downstairs hallway. Kat and I
both experienced higher meter readings at the closet door. EMF meter
between 2 ½ and 3, Kat was also getting a high reading on the Gauss
Meter. About 1 foot above the floor to about 4
feet high. I used the HI8 video camera during the entire investigation.
At times, I did see
Dust/Orbs thru the video camera.
Mark contacted us on the walkie talkie, asking if either Kat or myself
had gone upstairs. Kat replied no. Then Mark asked the location of the
animals in the house. The dog was in the kitchen, and only the cat "Smuckers"
was visible at the bottom of the stairs.
Kat and I continued to take meter readings in the room next to the
living room until Carol and Mark returned downstairs. Kat also took many
digital pictures during our investigation. Her camera battery was
drained.
Research Study #1
We went into the living room where Kat set up to do "Scrying" with a
pendulum.
A male spirit from the house was contacted, and questions were asked: ie:
date of birth, name,
country of origin, how many children, occupation, etc. Before the
Scrying began, Mark had
positioned an ELF Meter on a tripod in the doorway between the living
room and the next room.
The male spirit was encouraged to move into the living room, and the ELF
meter did spike a few times, but nothing more occurred. Kat was wearing
a Microphone and was recorded during
the entire Scrying. A female spirit was also contacted after the male,
and questions where asked. Her name, was she related to someone in the
room, did she have a message for someone.
I smelled a floral fragrance from the female spirit. There was a full
moon out that night.
Temperature in living room dropped from 74 to 72 degrees.

Investigation 6/10/06 Private Residence, West
Chester, Pa.
Ongoing.
Kim Ritchie, Carol Starr, Dinah (trainee)
Back Office Area. Approximately 10pm.
Room temperature was a constant 76 degrees. Full Moon outside. Equipment
used: EVP, EMF, Gauss Meter, Carols Canon camera/video, my Sony HI8
video camera. No pictures were taken except for the Sony video camera.
Started with 10 minutes of silence for the EVP. Total darkness in room.
The Sony Video camera was used during this entire session.
We had constant EMF readings between 2 ½ and 3 for the entire session,
from both EMF meters, one with Carol and the other on the computer by
the door way, and a few spikes to 4 occurred on Carols meter and the
Gauss meter also spiked a few times. . Questions asked during 10
minutes: Tell us your name, do you want
Us to leave, Are you a little girl? And of course if there is someone
here who wants to
Contact us, give us a sign, touch one of us, knock on the wall or floor.
I kept hearing noises outside in the hallway, and when I opened the
door, the dog and cat were there, and the cat actually ran into the
office. I shooed both the dog and cat back into the hallway, and shut
the office door. Later I kept hearing noises in the hallway again, and
when I opened the door, Isaac was there at the landing taking pictures.
But that entire time, I always felt like there was something just on the
other side of the office door.
During the entire video recording, I could actually see light anomaly
activity. What was
Strange was that most of the anomalies seemed to be around Dinah. I have
reviewed the video and documented the times and place where the
anomalies were sighted. There are
Quite a few present for the 20 minutes or so of video. You can tell most
are dust particles, but there are a few that zig zagged, had a tail and
their own light source from within.. Very impressive. Listening to my
video recorders audio, I heard nothing out of the ordinary. One
instance, Carol felt a coldness near her foot. Dinah, using an EMF meter
recorded a spike from a constant 3 to 4. From ground level to about 3 ½
foot high. Carol was talking the whole time asking whatever was there to
contact us, not be afraid, sit on her knee, etc. Dinah was mostly using
the Gauss Meter, and she recorded a meter reading “in the yellow” at
Carols cold spot next to her foot. Then I suggested that she use the EMF
meter. Carol also experienced a cold spot about 3 feet high on her left
side, the same side as the cold spot on her foot. The left side cold
spot happened first, then the foot. Almost as if something was beside
her, then sat down next to her. This is when we had a meter spike to 4,
and the Gauss meter registered in the yellow. Both these spikes occurred
at ground level.
When I told Dinah that most of the light anomalies were around her, she
asked if it could be someone other than the spirits in the house. We
both told her yes. She then told us about her son in law who had been
murdered and wondered if it could be him. She even asked if it was him,
and got no response.
Research Study #1: Experimental technics: Strobe Light in Hallway.
After the back office, Mark set up a strobe light in the main hallway.
Carol was in the master bedroom shooting pictures with her camera, and I
was filming with the video camera,
Right outside of the back office in the hallway. Dinah had gone
downstairs. I closed the back office door, and immediately I
became uncomfortable. I felt like something was behind me in the
hallway, which was weird because I was right outside the office door.
While Carol was taking pics and I was filming, I noticed a cold breeze
behind me at the office door. It seemed to rise from my feet to my head,
then something cold either breezed by
My neck or actually touched my neck. I panicked a little and told Carol
that something had touched me and I turned off the video camera and went
down the stairs. After the first few steps I thought, what am I doing? I
immediately turned the video camera back on and went back into the
hallway, but then I ended up in the master bedroom with Carol. Safety in
numbers! Run, Dudette, Run. I was only gone about 15 to 20 seconds.
While Carol and I were chatting in the master bedroom, she saw a shadow
in the hallway. I did not see it, but I taped the strobe light as much
as I could. That was really messing up my eyes. When I reviewed the
video the following day, I couldn’t watch
The strobe light too much, again it hurt my eyes.
A few observations/opinions:
I have never seen that many light anomalies in such a short period of
time. They all were around Dinah. Carol’s experience of a cold spot next
to her, then at her foot, on the same side was really cool. We also were
able to pick up spiked meter readings at that same time of the cold
spots! I just had the weirdest feeling the entire time that something
was in the hallway, even when the animals and Isaac weren’t there. Also
I got that same sensation very strongly when I closed the office door
and was filming the strobe light.
Of course what happened to me was an experience, wished I had handled it
better, now that it has happened, hopefully I wont run the next time! I
feel really stupid for doing that, I think it was a reflex. I am
disappointed in myself, but my resolve is to keep on doing what I do
best, and that is investigate!! Dinah was a joy to work with, she was
eager to learn and asked questions. She showed no fear and was curious
as to what we were doing, and to what was going on around her.
