In March of 2007, I was pleased to
interview, Ron Long, the owner of Elaine’s,
while accompanied by the illustrious
psychic, Laurie Hull. At one particular part
of the tour, we were ushered into what used
to be the establishment’s living room, but
since has become a dining area at times and
storage space at other times. Today it was
storage space; and was filled with all kinds
of wild and wonderful haunted props for
their dinner theater productions. I took
special note of a very real looking
character sitting in a very real looking
electric chair.
“Oh, that’s Johnny,” said Ron, “He gets
electrocuted every night.”
The three of us laugh and continue with the
tour. About fifteen minutes later in the
same room, I was talking quietly with
Laurie, pointing out to her that some years
ago, I’d visited the Haunted Restaurant and
had been seated in the far corner.
Laurie replied to me, “Oh, over where the
electrocuted guy is…”
I reply, “Yeah.”
Nothing more was said about it and again, we
continued on. But later, when I was
transcribing my notes of the day, at this
point of the tour, a deep male voice in
strict monotone spoke up in the background—a
voice that was not mine, nor Ron’s, nor
Laurie’s. It was a voice that was actually
interacting with our conversation.
Recap:
Laurie: “Oh, over where the electrocuted guy
is…”
Me: “Yeah.”
EVP voice: “Joh-nee.”
Having the recording analyzed by Mark Sarro
of the Chester County Paranormal Research
Society verified that this voice was,
indeed, within *ghost range! I’d captured a
ghost on tape! -D.P. Roseberry
*A working theory is that EVP's will
happen in a lower frequency range. Upon
frequency analysis of the EVP we were able
to determine that it was in fact in the
range of about 250hz. |
